WELCOME TO 27th FINANCE FORUM

The Department of Business Administration of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid is proud to host the 27th Finance Forumthe Annual Meeting of the Spanish Finance Association (AEFIN). The Finance Forum will take place at the Puerta de Toledo Campus situated in downtown Madrid on 11th and 12th July 2019.

The program is open to all areas of Financial Economics research, such as: Asset Valuation, Banking, Behavioral Finance, Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Derivatives, Fixed Income, International Finance, Market Microstructure, Risk Analysis, Regulation and Portfolio management.

We are honoured to announce the keynote speakers for the 27th Finance Forum:

Professor of Finance and Professor of Economics at the Wharton School of Business (University of Pennsylvania) where he is the Joel S. Ehrenkranz Family Professor.

Sheridan-Titman

Sheridan Titman

Professor in the Department of Finance at McCombs School of Business (University of Texas at Austin) where he holds the Walter W. McAllister Centennial Chair in Financial Services

The Finance Forum will also feature a PhD Consortium, to be held on the 10th July 2019, where PhD students can present their research ideas and receive feedback from specialist in their research fields. This year we will be honoured with the presence of Professor Renee Adams and Professor Rafael Repullo. PhD students can submit both to the Finance Forum and the PhD Consortium. There is no fee for attending the Consortium. Moreover, students presenting at the Consortium will get a scholarship covering the fee of the Forum.

The following awards will be granted at the Conference: AEFIN Award to the Best paper of the Finance Forum, BME Award to the best paper on Stock Markets, BME Award to the best paper on Fixed Income, BME Award to the best paper on Derivatives, CNMV Award to the best paper on Regulation, INVERCO Award to the best paper on Asset Management, and SANFI Award to the Best paper on Banking.

The Finance Forum has become the Spanish benchmark for research in finance. Our goal is to be an international meeting point for all researchers in finance.

Department of Business Administration of University Carlos III

The Department of Business Administration of University Carlos III, has an international faculty and is committed to high standards of research and teaching. In recent years, our faculty members have published their research in journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Accounting Review, the Review of Accounting Studies, Econometrica, JFQA, or the Review of Finance.

The department offers the Phd in Business and Finance, as well as several Master programs, both research-oriented and designed for professional practice. We offer official Master degrees in Management, Finance, Marketing, and Actuarial Science, as well as an MBA. All graduate programs are taught in English.

As a multidisciplinary international leading European business department we are very proud to host the XXVIIth Finance Forum.
